Logitech Brings HomeKit Compatibility To Wired Circle 2 Home Security Camera

Logitech has announced that the wired version of its Circle 2 Home Security Camera is now compatible with Apple’s HomeKit. Starting today, Circle 2 users can access their camera’s live stream from the Home app on iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch — at home when on the same Wi-Fi network as the camera, or remotely if using an Apple TV or iPad as a home hub.

Only the $180 wired version of Circle 2 is HomeKit-compatible — not the $200 wireless version of the camera. Circle 2 is only the second home security camera to become compatible with HomeKit.

Circle 2 works with HomeKit when in its standard mount, the Plug Mount, or the Window Mount. Logitech has posted HomeKit update instructions for existing Circle 2 users.

A full list of HomeKit-compatible accessories can be found on Apple’s website.
