Security Cameras Record Fiery Meteor Over Canada

While most security camera owners install their equipment for safety reasons, there’s always the possibility of getting footage of something completely different — like a meteor burning up in the night sky.

A number of cameras caught a meteor burning up in the atmosphere as it rocketed to the ground in British Columbia recently. Jake Polzin’s Nest camera caught a great view of the event from Kelowna, British Columbia.

Additional videos of the meteor have been collected by the Toronto Sun. The meteor appeared to go down in a “heavily forested and mountainous region,” according to The Globe & Mail.
