abode Offers Professional Installation with HelloTech

Smart security company abode is now offering professional installation through HelloTech, a technology support service available 24/7. In addition to DIY installation, customers can choose to use HelloTech to install their abode security system when they buy their equipment. After, customers will select appointment times and will be matched with one of HelloTech’s technicians nationwide. The cost of professional installation will depend on the size of the security system but will start at $99.

Effective February 2019, abode’s partnership with HelloTech is the beginning of abode’s expansion towards customer support and additional services. Not only does HelloTech offer installation of security systems, but also maintenance like improving the Internet speed of connected devices.

“The abode line is a natural fit and addition to the portfolio of smart home installation services offered by HelloTech…The abode system features deep integrations with a large number of products we already offer installation services for, such as video doorbells and smart thermostats, and most importantly, delivers whole home security and home automation in one powerful solution,”

said Greg Steiner, CEO of HelloTech. The added choice of professional installation is part of abode’s larger push to increase customer options overall. In the same vein, abode is one of the only security companies to offer professional monitoring on-demand in addition to 24/7.

As a startup founded in 2014, abode continues to innovate its products and services. In addition to their Essentials Starter Kit, abode unveiled the iota All-In-One security and camera device, which combines two-way audio with sound recognition for smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, a motion sensor, and a base station. “We’re excited for what the future holds, as we work together to help users expand their systems to new connected home device categories and drive interoperability forward for the industry,” said Chris Carney, co-founder and CEO of abode.
