Swann Unveils ‘Swann Security’ Package

Swann has announced several new security cameras and a new Swann Security app with advanced features. Among their new products includes:

  • Swann Wi-Fi Alert Indoor Security Camera: this camera includes two-way audio as well as a built-in siren.
  • Swann Wi-Fi Spotlight Outdoor Camera: In addition to a siren and two-way audio, this camera has a powerful spotlight.
  • Swann’s new Day/Night 4K Spotlight NVR Camera: This camera provides very clear 4K video plus night vision form a 300 lumen spotlight, a siren, two-way audio, plus infrared night vision for up to 45 meters in addition to color night vision from the spotlight (it’s been about a year since Swann released it’s first 4K camera).
  • Swann Day/Night 4K Sensor Warning Light Camera With Siren: Connecting to a wired DVR recorder, this 4K camera features digital zoom, color night vision up to 40 meters, infrared night vision up to 30 meters, and a siren.

The new Swann Security app has smarter video analytics, including line crossing and static object detection, smart alerts when movement is detected, and optional alerts regarding facial recognition, pet and vehicle detection, tampering detection, and more, all available with a subscription service.

In a press release from Swann, Vice President of Marketing Jeremy Stewart said,

At Swann, we are committed to simplifying home security for daily life…Consumers want smart security solutions that prevent crime, interconnect with one another, and offer value with no recurring fees, and this is what we are delivering with the new Swann Security products.”

All of Swann’s cameras work with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa and will be controllable through the new Swann Security app, with optional monthly fees for advanced artificial intelligence features. Their camera options are wired, wireless, indoor, and outdoor, so a Swann client will have numerous options in ensuring their home’s security.

Her last position was as an account executive at Yelp, educating business owners on the power of technology to increase revenue. Throughout, however, her heart remained with tech journalism, and she’s thrilled to be writing for Security Baron. When she’s not keeping afloat of the latest tech trends, Aliza likes to cook, read, and write. A former high school “Class Clown,” Aliza has completed two feature-length screenplays, a pilot, and countless comedic sketches.
