The choice of sensors and detectors available is also similar. There are some differences in the components provided with their packages. Both also have Z-Wave management available.

The differences lie in each companies’ approach and marketing. Frontpoint works directly with customers using a Do-It-Yourself model. All components are connected to each consumer’s console and shipped directly to the customer. If you purchase additional sensors, the company will ensure they are networked and configured for your personal system. Frontpoint provides through videos and service lines.

ADT uses independent dealers to install and service their systems. Consumers sign up for the service, and ADT dealers do all the installation according to the users’ requirements. If you purchase additional equipment, ADT will configure it and install it. If there are problems that the company cannot fix over the phone, then ADT will send a technician to take care of the issue.
