Since rebranding itself from SafeMart to LiveWatch, the company has received several industry awards, some several times. Sometimes so-called “awards” often have little real merit or standards applied to the winners. Often it is a ploy used by companies to give them something to put on their website to help promote their service or product.
LiveWatch too can boost that they have successfully won several federal government contracts through providing the best service as price compared to other home security companies. Sections of the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Department of State, and the Justice Department and the Coast Guard have contracted for LiveWatch systems.
Below are some of the awards won by LiveWatch that most in the home security industry and elsewhere consider valid.
Better Business Bureau
SafeMart, now LiveWatch, has been a member of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) since 2004. They have enjoyed an A+ rating since that time, the highest rating given.
The number of complaints registered by consumers against LiveWatch is very low. In 2015, there were only three complaints made to the BBB about LiveWatch, and all three have been resolved. Of the fifteen complaints listed by the BBB for LiveWatch in the last three years, all have been closed. There have been no negative or positive reviews made by LiveWatch customers on the BBB site.
This contrasts sharply with many of their competitors. The industry average is in the 100s. Many of their direct competitors have had thousands of complaints lodged against them, including several states’ filing lawsuits against some for deceptive practices.
LiveWatch has received an award from Interlogix every year since 2012 for being the fastest growing home security company in the United States.
Interlogix, owned by United Technologies, is a major security and life safety technology company.
The Stevie Awards have become a popular sales and customer service award site for almost a decade. In 2014, LiveWatch took the first place gold medal in the Customer Service & Call Centers and the Best Use of Technology categories. For the past three years, LiveWatch has won a silver or bronze medal also.
The 2014 competition included over 1500 nominations. One hundred and thirty judges sitting on seven different panels review the nominations and make the determinations as to which company receives recognition.
The internet giant Angie’s List uses member feedback to determine who makes their Super Service Award list. Less than 5% of all companies on their website rate this award. You must have an overall “A” average from customers to be eligible.
LiveWatch has received this award several times, most recently in 2014.
LiveWatch aka SafeMart seems to have been doing something right for a long time now. Most home security industry complaints revolve around monitoring contracts, particularly the enormous fees charged by competitors if a consumer wants to cancel. LiveWatch seems to have solved this problem by not only eliminating cancelation fees but also reducing the lengths of their contracts to only one year.
LiveWatch systems use products from one of the most respected names in sensor technology, GE. The LiveWatch service centers seem to do an excellent job in responding to their customer’s needs. If you also consider their monitoring contract policies, the company appears to found a winning formula that resonates with consumers.
