Monitronics has an excellent business growth track record. The company increased the revenue by double digits each year for well over a decade. They advertise that they are the second largest home security company in the nation.
This growth along with their reliable service ratings has resulted in numerous industry awards. Other awards come from security industry trade organizations and third-party general business groups.
Many Monitronics independent dealers have also won some of the awards individually listed below.
With optional 24/7 professional monitoring, easy DIY installation, plus an integration with Google Assistant, it's no wonder why Brinks is one of our favorite security systems of 2019.
Consumers’ Choice Award
Companies receive this award based largely on customer feedback. Consumers Choice conducts surveys of Monitronics and other home security company clients. For four years, from 2012 through 2015, Monitronics has garnered enough satisfaction among their users to win this award.
Security Distribution and Marketing (SDM) magazine is one of the most respected trade journals in the security products industry. SDM has recognized Monitronics as a Top 100 Company for every year of the past thirteen years. SDM ranks it as the one of the top three largest home security alarm monitoring companies.
SIAC’s PDQ Award
The Security Industry Alarm Coalition (SIAC) named Monitronics as their Police Dispatch Quality Award winner in 2013. An independent panel of private and public security experts decided that Monitronics had demonstrated exceptionally innovative and proactive educational and training methods in false alarm prevention.
The Stevie Awards have become a measure of success for home security companies. Monitronics won the award in 2014. The award is given to the corporation providing the best consumer service and products. Monitronics monitoring center won this award several times.
Frost and Sullivan
Frost and Sullivan has been in business for over 50 years providing consulting to companies on growth and innovation strategies. It is not directly related to home security companies but provides services to a wide range of companies in different sectors.
Monitronics has won the Frost and Sullivan award five times. The award is given to North American corporations that have demonstrated the most creative, practical and successful growth strategies.
Better Business Bureau (BBB)
The BBB ratings vary for Monitronics dealers. Their overall average is B+ to A-. Monitronics home office has an A- rating.
The complaints registered with the BBB during the past three years, over 1000, have all been successfully resolved to the complainant’s satisfaction. This is not an award per se, but it provides insight into the way that Monitronics handles customer complaints. The A- rating suggests that the company does a better-than-average job doing so.
Monitronics devotes an entire page on their website to their awards. Compared to some of their competitors, they have consistently maintained a high level of service and business acumen. This has translated into a sustained track record of recognition by their peers and independent security industry experts.
